Black and white tulip skirt

One more skirt. :)
Fabric: middle weight cotton with lycra.
Burda introduction for this pattern is: "This narrow silhouette skirt is one a jet-setter would wear in the sixties. It sits at natural waist and has waist pleats that give the skirt a nice tulip effect."
I am not a jet-setter, and I haven't achieved the sixties look with choice of fabric and the skirt length. My skirt is 10 cm longer and has fifties look which I prefer more. I am so pleased with this skirt. I’m sure I'll wear it a lot this summer.

The necklace that you can see in the photos I made for my Etsy shop.
Work in progress: crochet border for the dress.

Simple black pencil skirt

Finally sewing! This skirt was on my sewing table two months ago.
The plan was to sew same false snake leather one. Since these days are so hot the snake skirt will wait till autumn.
Pattern: Burda Style 1/2013 model 124.
Fabric: black wool blend, lining black rayon silk.
Invisible zipper. No vent.
Original length is 55cm, mine is 60cm.
Easy, basic pencil skirt. The pattern will be perfect for false leather skirt.

Waiting for Swallows

It's snowing today. I can't believe it is spring.
I can't plan or think about spring/summer wardrobe when it is so cold outside. Actually, I don't like to sew winter clothes. During the winter I usually wear jeans and cozy sweaters and patiently wait for warmer weather.
The sewing plan for this spring was basic black pencil skirt and fake snake leather skirt. But, I’m not in sewing mood these days. I haven't picked the pattern yet. Maybe this week.
Until then, here are some new necklaces for my Etsy shop.
