I am a "cat person", but unfortunately I can't have a cat. My son is allergic and we live in an apartment so I have to satisfy by following on instagram this cute Nala cat, or I can sew a dress with cat prints.

Little red dress

Little red dress was on my sewing list for ages. Finally I have made it. Well, my fabric is not quite red but that's me.
Pattern is already tested, they said it's one of most loved Burda patterns. I definitely love it, a lot.

Fabric: Quilting cotton

A Red, Red Rose

As you can tell floral prints are my weakness, especially roses.

This time I have used wedding dress pattern for this sundress.

Pattern: La Mia Boutique 3/1999 mod.10

 Fabric: Cotton

 Alterations: made it shorter :)

Pink rose romantic sheath dress

Here it is one more pattern for timeless dress. This is the second time I've used it.

Pattern: Burda 10/2009 mod. 116

Fabric: cotton sateen

Alterations: as last time -made back v-neck less deep (bra friendly) omitted the bow at the back.

Very happy with this pattern, fabric choice and dress fit.

In my humble opinion: This is a winning combination.

Coral pink red lace dress

I am little bit late in blogging about garments I made for this spring/summer season. All pieces I planned to sew are finished, worn several times, but never photographed. Mostly because all of them I wore during our evening outings; bad time for clear photos.

So, today I'll show you one more lace dress. Pattern is from February 2011 Burda Magazine. This year I have made six different garments from this issue.

 

Pattern: Burda 2/2011 mod. 101

Fabric: Coral/red pink cotton lace for the top fabric and beige rayon jersey for the lining.

Lovely easy pattern for timeless dress.
