Refashion: A plaid skirt made from an old dress

The dress I made back in December 2009 was my second project from Japanese sewing book-Simple chic. I remember how I was excited about that pattern. I had big expectations. Unfortunately finale result was complete disaster. Chosen fabric wasn't appropriate (to stiff), fitting was bad, A-line dresses aren't flattering for my body type....This dress has been hanging in my closet for years and it was time for a refashion.

This pattern I have made few times before and it is definitely my TNT pattern.

Alterations: made the vent and exposed metal zip

Fabric: plaid wool blend suiting fabric

Alterations: lengthened the dress

I recently discovered a magazine with patterns made according to the  license of  German "Anna Mode" magazine.The magazine is translated and intended for Balkan countries. I am very pleased with that because only Italian and German magazines (which I do not understand) were available so far. Finally I can read instructions. But, will I? :)
Pattern is good for lightweight summer pants or pajama bottoms. Or maybe, as magazine suggested, for faux suede pants.

Alterations: omitted pockets-haven't enough fabric,omitted ribbon strap at the waist.
