After lots of planning and few patterns testing
(here, here, here, here, here) from the book "Sew Many Dresses, Sew Little Time"-the winning combination for me is basic bodice pattern and
dirndl or box-pleat skirt. So this summer I have made three dresses from the
book.
First is blue floral poplin dress. Lovely, light,
summer, comfortable dress.
Pattern: Basic bodice and gathered skirt
Fabric: cotton poplin
Second dress: 50’s vibe, white with abstract print
Pattern: Basic bodice and box-pleat skirt
Fabric: stretch cotton sateen
Who could resist the flamingos this year? I couldn't. Funny pink flamingo dress.
Pattern: Basic bodice with few random pleats made at
the skirt.
Fabric: stretch cotton sateen
